Georgia Ports Authority Announces Large Expansion

Georgia Ports Authority (GPA) has announced plans to expand the port of Savannah and accommodate increasing numbers of ultra-large container vessels (ULCVs). The port expects to be able to handle 37 cranes and six 14,000 teu ships simultaneously by 2024.
