A critical development is affecting EXIM container movements within the JNPA ecosystem, based on recent official advisories issued by the Navi Mumbai and Thane Police Departments.
Effective September 18 to October 2, 2025, the movement of all types of heavy goods vehicles — including EXIM containers — will be strictly prohibited between 6:00 AM and 12:00 Midnight daily within the jurisdictions of the Navi Mumbai and Thane Police Commissionerate. Movement will only be permitted between 12:00 Midnight and 6:00 AM.
All EXIM container movements, whether enroute or scheduled for import deliveries, are being significantly impacted, as operations are effectively restricted to a 6-hour window each day. Even during the permitted hours, frequent barricading and stringent police checks are further exacerbating delays.
Container Freight Station (CFS) movements are also facing intermittent halts, with several major routes temporarily blocked due to police activity. These restrictions are causing considerable delays in cargo flow, impacting turnaround times and disrupting normal operations.
