After Typhoon Dolphin, congestion at Shanghai Port is gradually easing; however, the cargo backlog and vessel schedule delays have not yet been fully cleared.
At present, the average waiting time for vessels at Shanghai Port still exceeds four days. There are about 200 vessels waiting outside Shanghai Port, and a total of approximately 400,000 TEU of cargo remains to be processed across Shanghai Port and Ningbo‑Zhoushan Port combined.
Customers should be aware that, at the current clearance rate, this backlog may extend into September. Some carriers have issued skip‑port notices, canceling the originally scheduled calls at Shanghai Port for certain sailings. Please contact your EMO Trans sales and operations personnel if you have questions about specific shipments.
