Hearings Underway on Remaining Proposed China Tariffs

The Office of the U.S. Trade Representative has been holding public hearings in connection with a proposal to impose additional tariffs of up to 25% on some $300 billion worth of imports from China not already subject to higher tariffs under the Section 301 process. The proposed additional tariffs would affect a broad range of consumer and other goods, including apparel, footwear, home textiles, and toys and games, as well as numerous electrical and electronic articles and various other products.
