Update on Port & Rail Conditions Following Hurricane Florence

The following terminal and port facilities are open and fully operational under normal conditions: Savannah; Charleston; Norfolk; and Baltimore.

The Wilmington Port facilities will remain closed through Wednesday, September 19 until Local, State, Port and Federal Authorities determine the final port condition after the pass of Hurricane Florence.

Please check with your EMO Trans office on a per-shipment basis to see if any vessels have been delayed.

Rail Operations
Norfolk: Both Norfolk Southern and CSX have lifted the embargo for rail containers in gating at interior ramps destined to Norfolk. All marine terminals and rail ramps are open. On dock rail ops have resumed.

Charleston: The terminal and all rail ramps opened this morning. The embargo between Charlotte and GPA will be lifted at 0700 Tuesday, September 18. All other CSX lane ramps are open.

Customers can expect some delays and congestion with rail services through the remainder of the week.
