The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit is scheduled for June 2018 in Qingdao, Shandong province of China. Due to the Summit, the Qingdao Maritime Safety Administration (MSA) is restricting all imports of Dangerous Goods (DG) into the province as follows:
- All DG shipments with an ETA from May 20 to June 20 are prohibited from re-handling, re-stowing or re-shifting at Qingdao port.
- All discharge, loading and in-transit of DG shipments are also suspended from June 6 to June 11.
In addition, only DG classified under International Maritime Organization (IMO) Class 8 and 9 (without any other sub-labels) are accepted to in-transit at Qingdao during the period from June 6 to June 11.
