Georgia’s Seaports Are Booming

Georgia’s seaports reported double-digit growth last month in volumes of containerized cargo, as well as automobiles and heavy machinery. The Port of Savannah handled an increase of 14% in container units in March over the same month last year. Savannah and the Port of Brunswick handled nearly 70,200 cars, trucks and tractors last month for an increase of 17% above March 2017.
