Maersk Proceeds with Plans for Carbon Neutrality by 2050

Ocean carrier Maersk is set to begin testing vessels fueled by biofuel as part of its objective of cutting emissions and becoming carbon-neutral by 2050. The Mette Maersk, one of the company’s biggest vessels, will make a 25,000-nautical-miles round trip from Rotterdam to Shanghai this month using a blend containing 20% of biofuel.
